St Georges Drive

Herts Highways are still installing widened crossovers, paid for by residents, at some homes in St Georges Drive.  This has created more passing points along this very narrow through road as well as improving the appearance.  To protect the grass verges, some bollards are to be installed where requested. 

Oxhey Lane Travellers’ Site - Application Withdrawn

Your support for the petition opposing a travellers’ site in Oxhey Lane on Green Acres farm was phenomenal. In addition, many people and various authorities, including Herts Highways, wrote to Three Rivers District Council opposing the application (12/0911/FUL).   

Sandpit Woods Update

The unauthorised tree felling began on 17th March, but it took until August for Three Rivers District Council to gather enough information to issue summonses against all involved. They appeared at Watford Magistrates Court on 3rd September when the case was adjourned until 28th September, when it will be heard at Hertford Magistrates Court. We understand no plea has yet been entered.

UPDATE: Developer Confirmed for Watford Health Campus

Richard Harrington has welcomed the news that Kier have been confirmed as the company to build the Watford Health Campus. After the project having been on the table for several years, Richard is delighted that it is one step closer to the project getting underway.

Carpenders Ave Pavements

The County Council has resurfaced sections of pavements in Carpenders Avenue. We know more would be appreciated, but tight finances limited what could be done this time. Frances Button is grateful to local residents who have reported their concerns. This helps to monitor the performance of contractors.

Rounton Appeal
