The extremely unpleasant sewage outflow from the new flats off Romilly Drive behind Bellingdon into the Hartsbourne stream has been investigated.
To resolve the issue, Three Rivers’ Environmental Health Department has been pushing the Management Company of the flats, who have called in NHBC (National House Building Council, the UK’s leading standard-setting body). We understand they have now inspected the site to identify what remedial work is required.
We are disappointed at the time needed to investigate the source of the problem, and we are insisting that action is now taken urgently.
We shall continue to monitor progress.
