After months of uncertainty Kebbell Group has revealed further plans for their Delta Gain site. This potentially marks the start of another round of planning applications and re-opens the debate about how, and if, Carpenders Park should be developed.
Last Spring the local Conservative Team worked with local residents to oppose excessive developments on the site and together we were successful in halting the planning applications. Since then there has been no activity, until now.
The Story So Far…
August 2010: The Liberal Democrat controlled Three Rivers District Council granted permission for 31 flats and associated access/parking. Although these flats have yet to be built Kebbell Group still has permission to build them.
March 2011: Two further applications were submitted involving the demolition of Kebbell House: one for 76 more flats was withdrawn, and one for 60 flats was rejected.
26 January 2012: an exhibition was held in Kebbell House, with several new options, including residential, commercial or mixed developments and was again based on the demolition of Kebbell House. Residents are being asked to comment, prior to the submission by Kebbell Group of one or more applications.
