In September, Lebanon Close residents learned that the land to the front of their houses was to be sold in parcels without their knowledge or involvement. It was brought to the attention of Conservative Councillor Andrew Mortimer and Local Campaigner Penny Edwards.
They made enquires with the current owners of the site, Hertfordshire Police Authority. As a result, a number of uncertainties have become apparent. It has been agreed that the sale of the plots will be put on hold.
Andrew and Penny have now successfully arranged for an order to stop any fences being erected there too.
